  We definitely stumbled upon this place by accident, and so glad we stumbled on it.
  
  First of all if you like cheesecake this is the place to go. Everything is made by hand and you can tell it's made in house and they have tons of options. I couldn't recommend one over the other because they were all great and I tried a few.
  
  We also met Rocco, who was hilarious and has redefined my image of a culinary wizard.
  
  I'll be back for sure.

  I've been on keto for about 3 weeks now and my husband and I were in the Santa Monica area test driving a car. This intro makes no sense, but it will in a few minutes, trust me.
  
  I told him that while we were out there, since we hardly ever go out there anymore (thanks a lot 405), we should make this test driving a car thing a whole date night.
  
  So we did what any normal people do, had dessert before actually going to dinner. We went to Rocco's Cheesecake because their menu was keto-friendly. See where the intro is starting to make sense now? I found this place on Yelp and was surprised at some of the reviews. To be honest, I chuckled a little because the Yelp reviews made it seem like Rocco was a no-nonsense type of dude and I can dig that. First of all, you have to know your facts first before ordering keto. Yes, it's going to have a different texture than what you're used to. And Rocco prefaced us before ordering that if we were eating the cheesecake at the shop, he would have to defrost it. Freezing it keeps the cheesecake in tact.
  
  My husband had the lemon chiffon cheesecake and I had the salted caramel chocolate chunk cheesecake. I was not expecting the flavor I got from the salted caramel chocolate chunk cheesecake. It really satisfied my sweet tooth. I would highly recommend this if you're looking for a sugar fix, but are sadly on keto. The lemon chiffon was ok for me. I'm not much of a lemon person, but my husband liked it. He was pleasantly surprised.
  
  I thought Rocco was a cool dude. He was informative about his product and gave us a heads up on what to expect. I have no qualms with the dude and I would come back if it weren't for the traffic.

  I can say 2 things for sure.
  1: I have eaten a lot of cheesecake.
  2: Rocco's is the best.
  
  Rocco's cheesecake is the best I have ever had. If you are thinking of getting your creamy dessert on anywhere else, you are mistaken! Rocco's chef "Johnny Rocco" brings: creativity, quality ingredients, expertise and flavor into his desserts. You can choose from very flavorful and sweet, to salty and savory, or anything in between! How do you feel when I say "cream brûlée cheesecake" or "White Velvet cheese cake." My mouth is watering like one of Pablov Dog right now! Rocco's cheesecake RINGS the bell!

  I came here with high expectations because of the 5 star yelp rating and was not impressed.  I love cheesecake and it's two days later and my slice to go still sits lonely in my fridge half eaten.  The cheesecake wasn't very cheesecakey if that makes sense.  It didn't taste bad, just not like cheesecake. The consistency was way off.  The slices looked tiny.
  
  Located right across the street from SMC this is a great place for a sweet treat. I myself have higher expectations, but I'm not knocking the great service and location. I won't be back.

  Being from Chicago, I'm a natural cheesecake lover.  My daughter and I were looking for dessert before we headed to the airport and she found this spot.  We were NOT disappointed.  She got a traditional and I got Tiramisu.  Both were fresh and delicious.  In addition, I think Rocco was there.  Not sure but the dude looked like he could be Rocco.  He was SUPER friendly and eager to please although we arrived at what I believe was slightly after closing time.
  
  We decided to just taste a bit in the car but actually sat in the parking lot and ate most of our cheesecakes.  Yes, they were that good.
